Dongguan Liuhua Park

Liuhua Park is a key cultural relic under municipal protection and dates to the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty (about 470 years ago). One of the famous sights in the park, Luihua Pagoda, stands as high as 30 meters. Legend has it that the pagoda was the guard of Xianei tributary for the estuary. Today, to commemorate the heroic General Xiong Fei who led the volunteers against the Yuan army here, Liuhua Park has been built into a garden-ecological park that integrates patriotism education in leisure and entertainment.
There are rich legends and cultural relics in Liuhua Park, such as Huaxi Yintang, Honghua Temple, Shenxian Bed, Qiniangtan, Tonggujiao, etc. Surrounding it are Xugongyan in Aozhitang, Xujingtang's former residence, Haichao, and Yuwu's Yuwu Jinshi Tourist attractions such as archways. In addition, there are the Liuhua Tower built in the Ming Dynasty (the people of Dongguan fought the first anti-Japanese battle here during the Anti-Japanese War), the Liuhua Anti-Japanese Memorial Pavilion, the Xiong Fei Tomb, and the newly constructed garden Shengjing Huifang Garden.
Liuhua Park opened in 1999 and covers an area of 31.5 hectares. It is located between Dongcheng, Shilong and Shijie, Tongling at the intersection of Guanlong Highway and Guanjie Highway.
The park is connected to Guanlong Road in the south, Tongling Mountain in the west, the Liuhua Pagoda built in the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty on the top of the mountain, and the Anti-Japanese Memorial Pavilion in the north. It is a comprehensive garden ecological park integrating leisure and rich cultural connotation, amusement and patriotism education.
Dongguan Nanshe Ancient Village

Nanshe Village is surrounded by luxuriant trees with picturesque views. With up to 1,000 residents and 22 ancestral halls, it is indeed a thriving community. All the halls and temples there retain the original flavor of ancient architecture. Together, the local dwellings, ancestral halls, academies of classical learning, shops, family temples, ancient banyans, pavilions, walls, ancient wells, alleys and memorial gates make up the cultural landscape of a farming settlement with strong PRD characteristics. It is commendable that there are many undamaged buildings from the late Ming and early Qing Dynasties, retaining a large number of stone carvings, brick carvings, wood carvings, stucco reliefs, pottery sculptures and other building elements, which have high artistic value.
Huangdaxian Temple in Qishi Town

Huangdaxian Park is located along Dongjiang Avenue in Qishi town, Dongguan city, Guangdong province. Fist built in Tongzi period of the Qing Dynasty, the whole architectural structure of Huangdaxian Park is based on Jinxiaoyi Ridge, with back wall of the ancient temple secured exactly on Jinxiaoyi Ridge. The surrounding mountain, resembling a semicircle, encircles the whole structure. Huangdaxian Temple has been attracting numerous pilgrims since its construction.
Dongguan Eco-Industrial Park
📍Located at the junction of Shipai, Chashan, Hengli and Shilong towns
The wetland landscape of Dongguan Eco-Industrial Park is situated east of downtown Dongguan and composed of the central water system ecological island and other wetland clusters, such as Yanling wetland, Xiasha wetland, Dazhenpu wetland and Yuehu wetland. It was approved as a National Urban Wetland Park in December 2013, the first of its type in the PRD region.
Yanling Wetland Park is located in the northwest corner of Dongguan Ecological Park, covering an area of 627,000 square meters. As the country's largest water purification constructed wetland project, it has two major functions: water purification and ecological restoration. Although it is artificially constructed, it maintains the texture of the original mulberry fish pond, showing the characteristics of the traditional Lingnan cultural environment.
Dongguan “Peach Blossom Island” (Tanxiang Island)
📍Located along the north branch of Dongjiang River in Shayao Village, Shijie Town, Dongguan City
东莞有座“桃花岛”，这里远离闹市，山灵水秀，不过，岛上种植的可不是桃花，而是几十万棵珍贵檀香木。岛上珠光闪闪，绿植满布，鸟语花香。
Hailed as the "Peach Blossom Island” of Dongguan and the “Sun Moon Lake on Dongjiang River”, Tanxiang Island stands far from the bustling city and has beautiful hills and clear waters. Instead of peach blossoms, hundreds of thousands of precious sandalwood trees are planted on the island. The island, looking out to shimmering waters around, is filled with green plants, twittering birds and fragrant flowers. Today, ecological farming has been introduced on the island. In addition to pastures, farms, aquaculture areas, there are green restaurants and creative environmental knowledge exhibition halls. As such, the island has been awarded “Guangdong Environmental Education Base” and the only “Guangdong Natural College” in Dongguan. Tanxiang Island is but a microcosm of the town’s efforts to strengthen protection of Dongjiang's water quality and natural ecology.
Luofu Mountain
📍Located on the shore of Dongjiang River in the northwest of Boluo county, Huizhou city
Luofu Mountain has an area of more than 214 square kilometers, a total of 432 large and small peaks, more than 980 famous waterfalls, 18 wonders of caves and sky, 72 stone chambers and secluded rocks, with majestic mountains, lush vegetation and evergreen forests. In ancient times, the extraordinary features of Shenxiandongfu attracted countless famous immortals and tourists from ancient to modern times. Poets Lu Jia, Xie Lingyun, Li Bai, Du Fu, Li He, Liu Yuxi, Han Yu, Liu Zongyuan, Su Shi, Yang Wanli, Tang Xianzu, Qu Dajun, etc. all left classic verses and poems. Luofu Mountain’s "Shixiong Mengmei", "Dongpo Lai Li", "Anqi Tianyin", "Zhichuan Pill Alchemy", "Xianfan Road", "Hua Mobile Game Club", "Dongtian Medicine Market", Many legends such as "The Dream of the Dragon King" are magical and quiet, and romantic.
