Guangdong Huaguan Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. was established in Dongguan in 2001. After several years of development, the company has become a well-known private enterprise in the province. The most iconic color steel plate products in the region dominate the market in South China, with sales accounting for more than 30% of the total sales in the region. The Xinhui Plant of Guangdong Huaguan Iron and Steel Co., Ltd., which held its commissioning ceremony, is located on the bank of Yinzhou Lake in Xinhui Jinguzhou Economic Development Zone, and is close to the first-class national port of Xinhui Port. It was invested and established by Mingguan Group in 2004. It invested more than 1 billion yuan to introduce Japan’s advanced cold rolling mill with an annual output of 300,000 tons and a hot dip zinc production line with an annual output of 240,000 tons. At present, it has formed a one-stop production base for pickling steel plate, cold rolled steel plate, galvanized steel plate and color coated steel plate. In the second phase, a second cold-rolling line with an annual output of 300,000 tons, an electro-galvanizing line with an annual output of 200,000 tons and a hot-rolling galvanizing line with an annual output of 200,000 tons will be constructed in the second phase in 2006. After all construction is put into operation, a total output of thin plates and coated plates will be formed Reaching 1 million tons, it is expected to become the second largest color steel plate production base in China.
It is also understood that Mingguan Group has recently invested heavily in the second-phase expansion project of Xinhui Port, constructing two 10,000-ton berths downstream of the existing wharf shoreline in Tianma Port area of Xinhui Port, a national first-class port. It will be completed and put into use before the end of 2006. After the completion of the second phase of the project, Xinhui Port's throughput capacity will be more than doubled.
At the same time, Mingguan Group is also involved in the real estate industry. The Junkai Garden, invested and built by the group, covers an area of 1,700 acres. The central area of the project is connected to the central axis of Xinhui New City, the central green belt, and the commercial center. It is within easy reach of the nationally famous Xinhui Bird Paradise, the former residence of Liang Qichao, and the Yamen Fort.
