On the afternoon of March 26, the Joint Acceptance Team composed of members of Jiangmen Customs District P.R.CHINA, Guangdong Regulatory Bureau of the Chinese Ministry of Finance, the Second Tax Sub-bureau of STA Guangdong Provincial Tax Service and Guangdong Branch of the State Administration of Foreign Exchange, conducted the final acceptance inspection for Jiangmen Daguang Bay Bonded Logistics Center (Type B) with positive result. Deputy Mayor Cai Dewei and Guo Zhongpeng, deputy chief of Jiangmen Customs District P.R. CHINA, attended the acceptance inspection meeting.
Jiangmen Daguang Bay Bonded Logistics Center (Type B) has nine warehouses, one inspection platform and one comprehensive office building. The Logistics Center occupies a total of 253,133 m2, including 86,944 m2 of warehouse and 36,995 m2 of storage yard. Total investment of the project is around 420 million RMB. As the important logistics hub connecting western Guangdong and the Greater Bay Area, the Logistics Center relies on Tianma Port Area of Xinhui Port - a national first-class port, to reduce logistics operation cost during cargo import/export for neighboring enterprises. Its business portfolio includes bonded storage, export rebates, cross-border e-commerce, and bonded goods display.
The Joint Acceptance Team listened to reports on the construction status of the Logistics Center and made a field investigation of the Center’s regulatory facilities and information technologies. Upon comprehensive review, it was agreed that the Logistics Center has passed the acceptance inspection. The Acceptance Summary of the Bonded Logistics Center was signed by Cai Dewei and Guo Zhongpeng soon afterwards.
Cai Dewei indicated that the completion of the Logistics Center would help save logistics and capital costs for local foreign trade enterprises, extend the processing trade industrial chain, promote transformation and upgrading of the foreign trade, optimize our business environment and eventually, boost the development of our open economy. As the next step, we should make greater effort to attract foreign investment as well as quality enterprises and projects. By keeping improving the quality and level of our operation management, we would build the Logistics Center into a comprehensive modern logistics platform that faces Hong Kong and Macao and radiates Western Guangdong and that integrates import and export trade, logistics, cross-border e-commerce, bonded goods display, and bonded trading. We should give full play to the role and function of the Logistics Center and make important contributions to the local economy. (From Jiangmen Daily, March 27, 2020)
