On July 27, 2010, led by its pilots, BELUGA ENERGY slowly entered Tianma port area of Xinhui Port. BELUGA ENERGY is the largest foreign ship by tonnage ever docked by Tianma port area this year. The ship is 130.7 meters long and 21 meters wide, three times the size of a basketball court. Its gross tonnage is 9,611 tons and the max. draft under full load is up to 8 meters. According to plan, BELUGA ENERGY will carry 8,145 cubic meters (2,058 tons) of boiler tubes directly to Argentina via Huangpu Port.
“BELUGA ENERGY is the second 10,000-ton ship to have berthed at Xinhui Port, after the ship called “Tian An Cheng” from last year. It indicates that our capacity to receive such ships has reached that of large international ports. We believe that, under the leadership of Mingcrown Group, Xinhui Port will see the arrival of more 10,000-ton ships.
